UV-absorberend uv-0, Chinees alias voor 2,4-dihydroxybenzofenon; Difenylketon-1; 2,4-dihydroxybenzofenon; UV-absorberend uv-0; 2,4-dihydroxybenzofenon; BP - 1; 2,4 dihydroxybenzofenon; UV-0. Het wordt voornamelijk gebruikt als lichtstabilisator voor kunststoffen, die het plexiglas en de stof effectief kunnen beschermen, voorkomen dat de gegevens door verlichting worden bedorven, en wordt ook gebruikt als tussenproduct voor het synthetiseren van ander ultraviolet absorberend materiaal.
